Mobility Software Engineer II (m/f/d)

 

Consulting Ltd. (Greenville, SC) seeks Mobility Software Engineer II to develop leading edge technologies and know-how from Industry, partner companies, local universities and internal partners into automotive concepts, then into project development and Integration processes. Identifies emerging technologies in order to build software and/or hardware prototypes and production ready solutions. Areas of focus include but not limited to Vehicle IT, Mobility, Social Networks, web and other enabling technologies. Serves as a technical expert and consultant to other engineers and developers. Manage medium-scale enterprise-wide projects according to BMW standard ITPM methodology. Manage the visualization and realization of future technologies which will support the complete process from development of concepts and vision to full production ready solutions which can be integrated rapidly into the automotive environment.  Investigate and evaluate emerging technologies to envision how they can be used to develop new strategic directions and competitive advantages.  Demonstrate extremely high technical capabilities in software and hardware development for emerging technologies.  Develop strategic and tactical awareness and planning of technology and resources necessary for successful completion of small and medium-scale projects.  Serve as a primary point of contact for other engineers and specialists in the team to provide expert knowledge and troubleshooting skills.  Serve as internal consultant to other developers and engineers as needed, providing assistance in all phases of product life-cycle development. Mentor developers and engineers on latest technologies and techniques. Assist the team in process matters as related to systems development/support. Provide the necessary on the job training and development of associates/contractors within the team.  Plan, analyze, design (including functional design), and define requirements, test and implement solutions according to ITPM standards.  Simultaneously manage multiple small to medium sized project teams, (including budgets) according to standard ITPM, ECC or other project management methodologies.  Clearly and proactively communicate project plans, milestones and current status to Project Sponsor, Manager and Project Manager. Maintain accurate, meaningful and updated technical and non-technical documentation pertaining to all aspects of area(s) of responsibility. Analyze business critical processes, evaluate and recommend improvements. Measures performance of delivered services through set of agreed metrics. Manage appropriate action to make corrections so that all services agreements are met.  Perform cost analysis for systems and determines most cost-effective way to solve business issues as related to systems development. Manage medium-scale enterprise-wide projects.

 

Requirements

5 years of experience in IT mobile technologies, web and vehicle or document capture IT with particular strength and experience in software and hardware design, development, integration and testing, SAP systems and applications.  Certification in BIT600 Technology Fundamentals for SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Suite, BIT615 Storing Original Documents with SAP ArchiveLink, and MOC 20486 Developing ASP.NET MVC 4 Web Applications.
